The goal of the meeting is to gather young researchers working on different aspects of locally symmetric geometric structures. There will be four mini-courses covering various viewpoints on geometric structures: differential geometric, topologic, algebraic, probabilisitic and dynamical. Moreover, there will be a number of talks from PhD students or young post-docs, and part of the time will be allowed for discussions and interactions between participants.
Minicourses (3h):
Nguyen-Thi Dang - Dynamics of the Weyl chamber flow (over a higher rank locally symmetric space)
Qiongling Li - Higgs bundle and minimal surfaces in non-compact symmetric space
James Farre - Convex pleated surfaces
Bram Petri - Probabilistic methods in hyperbolic geometry

Practical information
The workshop will take place in the center L'Escandille in Autrans. Talks will start on Monday, April 15th in the morning, and end on Friday, April 19th at noon.
We will cover accommodation and meals for all participants, and we will be able to cover travel expenses for those who ask for it on the registration form. Participants will arrive on Sunday 14th, and can leave on Friday 19th or Saturday 20th.
The closest train station is Grenoble. For those arriving by plane, we suggest flying to Lyon and then taking a bus to Grenoble (1h). We will provide a shuttle service from Grenoble to Autrans on Sunday 14th, and from Autrans to Grenoble on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th.
